The distances from the pitch are what I expected. You couldn't move the seats further forward without blocking sight lines of the top tier, so they are as far forwards as they can be. Our 'retractable seating' is a proper pony set up and massively costly, but it is in football mode for our matches.
We might not have a straight veto, but as anchor tenants any club wanting to share the ground needs our consent as we have primary use of the stadium.
Moving fixtures for Athletics is a ball-ache, but only because of the pony seating process, which proper retractable seating could rectify the time it takes to switch modes.
The only thing that I do feel let down by has been our spending power this season. Not sure why we have been so lacking, but the accounts will prove whether the club have more revenue to spend or not.

Jaan - Before the move the board collectively were bigging up the financial side, how it would enable us to buy better players.
That’s the crux of it ignoring Brady’s “any player in the world” bulllshit and idiots on here saying we’d fold and die if we didn’t move - you must have been using a different username then as I don’t remember you from the OS thread.
After the move - Sullivan says the move is worth £12m per year and “won’t change any lives”.
However you want to apologise for the board, that at its simplest is bare faced manipulation of the truth, ergo a lie. Sullivan KNEW the amount we’d get but did it anyway in the belief it helps his bottom line and in his belief made the club more attractive.
It was all based on a lie, surrounded by tens of other which I frankly can’t be bothered to go over again.

- retractable seating
- distance of seats from the pitch
- having a veto over ground share

I was behind the move and still am. I don't mind the stadium and have a good view. I don't feel lied too because we aren't doing well, as I never I expected immediate success. The possibility of expanding from 35k to 60k, generating more money for the club was what I believed we could make a go of. Nothing has changed on that front for me.
I think we are poorly run though and hope the owners sell up to people that won't run the club through the dirt with a series of embarrassing incidents, and more to the point have some tactical nous on how to take the club to the next level on the pitch, giving us a team our support deserve.

Take the stadium away from the issues with them at the moment. If we was top 6, pushing for Europe, had a solid team with a top name manager.. most people would agree that the stadium move has allowed us to compete on that level.
Its no secret that the move was surrounded in gold wrapping paper and was just a polished turd but it is far from the reason we are struggling and UP was far far from the fortress people nostalgically think of it as.

Considering the amount of noise you've created on here over the move and the owners, I'm surprised you're not bothering with the march, NS?
I done it all in '91 Trunds.... on the pitch at Everton at home... I've stuck into the funds... but no matter what will happen in the march the outcome will still be the same... we play our home games in a shithole... the horse has bolted 18 months ago...
